C5 expanding?

It’s not how many are below you. I laugh when guys/gals talk about how many are below them. The only thing that matters is how many are above you. If you are solidly on reserve only two things can help you. More flying or people above you leaving.

I laugh when people say what YOU just said. People below you is absolutely just as important, When I worked at XJT (the dark days), I was on reserve FOREVER! People above me kept leaving, but the block hours kept shrinking. It has everything to do with RELATIVE seniority.

not yet is the correct answer.
but it is coming.
say what you may about c5 training: it has plenty of weak spots, like other training departments i’ve seen, but instructors and leaders are working carefully and diligently to fix errors and streamline both the process and the materials to make the current growth less burdensome on new hires and current roster pilots.
a stunning and much needed example: the emergency memory items have been edited for consistency and wording problems.
there is plenty of work still to be done but i’m buoyed by the progress to date.

Above can be a function of a thousand things like basing, equipment, etc. but when it’s nut cutting time, that number to be furloughed means everything.

Moral of the story, you have to worry about how many are above and below your number...
