Good to know.

What kind of cadence or interval does Commutair do for bidding? Monthly? Every 3 months?

We bid every month. It opens on the 6th, closes on the 11, and is visible the 15th. We use a system called PBS. Works pretty good I guess. I’ve never used anything else. I know other airlines are trying to use it, but the pilots don’t want it. FedEx is a good example. Not sure why.

We also have a LIP (line improvement) period after the bid releases. So there can be some relief there if you didn’t get a good schedule.

Thanks Dick - that's helpful.

Are you able to share what the lines/credit look like at the various domiciles? I know that's likely something they'll get into in training, I just wonder.

I'm also kind of wondering if C5 is going to pick up any of the flights that AW is not going to be doing out of IAD anymore. It'd be nice if the IAD flying picked up.

Yeah I can try to dig some up.

I have to assume they’ll pick some up. But I’m a Denver guy and definitely not invited to any rooms where those conversations take place. I’m still pretty new. As far as the flow… while it’s awfully slow and has ZERO transparency… should move a little better since they left. All those AW guys are out. So that helps.

What are new hire schedules looking like lately? Long reserve periods or quick flying in any bases? Is IAD still super senior?

That’s a good question I would love to hear how long is reserve in IAH? Are the schedules on reserve commutable in IAH?

Probably not the right place to ask this question but my wife is coming over as Flight attendant. Any idea how long until she could hold IAH? Is it junior for the FA’s also?
