Are forced upgrades a thing here?

No. They definitely need captains and will offer you upgrade as soon as you qualify but you will not be forced to upgrade.

I was offered an upgrade during indoc. It was not forced or required and I could have said no. This is a good company, small yes, but run by good people with good instructors. I’ve been treated well and am glad I picked C5. I just finished ground and am headed for sims. PM if you want any specifics.

Call it "enticed" upgrades.

The year two pay bump reverts to $39/hr after you bypass twice.

But nobody is being forced into the left seat against their will.

Airport reserve sounds like a bad deal, but from reading posts here,

1) You're unlikely to just sit at EWR for a few days. They will use you to fly.
2) Reserve is about a month for EWR FOs

Is this true, or bull?

Trying to decide between expressjet and commutair. Thanks in advance.

Current junior line holder was a June hire that finished IOE in mid-September, so this is accurate.

Got a Skype interview on Thursday and looking for any info on recent interviewees with a gouge and potential training date waits...

Cheers!

I interviewed about a month ago. Pretty basic stuff...

Why Commutair?
What is your best and worst attribute?
Tell me about a time when...
Brief this approach plate.
Brief this SID.
Copy and readback this clearance.

I also had a training issue in my past (see my post history for details) and they asked me to explain what happened and what I learned from it.

Total time was about 30 minutes. I was given a CJO the next day.

What class dates were open? Didn’t know if they have a wait like some other carriers..
