Omni Air Pilot Negotiations update
#466
We will Frank- my NC is doing a fine job. Don’t undermine the effort. This crap takes longer than the patience level of out minor league pilot group; which is why some of not lost are at the O. When I say minor league- in no way shape or form our ability to move an aircraft from theater to theater; but in our ability to play a smart negotiation game and the understanding of its perverbial dance...

Let's take a step back and look at the big picture here.
Why would Omni suddenly feel compelled to negotiate any further?
During the conference call I brought up the fact that we have no more bargaining power. Omni has put out a pay scale that has stopped the bleeding and will attract pilots. Spencer brought up the fact that Omni is losing pilots to the majors. No one is surprised by this. Omni can't and won't ever compete with the majors.
Omni and the Union both know that there are enough pilots that would vote "yes" on the contract just as it is proposed. Someone actually mentioned a strike which is hilarious. Hard to get a strike vote when half the pilots want to vote on the proposal offered.
What am I missing here? We are stepping over dollars to pick up a few pennies.
