Key training people on both fleets have given notice that they are leaving Omni. The situation is dire and probably is past the point of no return. The pilots don't trust management and throwing money at the problem is not going to fix this. For those staying, don't get stuck paying the electric bill when you shut off the lights.

The Company is trying to buy out the pilot group for a contract by offering a pay increase and nothing else. A pay increase that still leaves us at the very bottom of our sector of the industry. A pay increase that still leaves us with the same flimsy contract language we've had to suffer though over the last 6 years. A pay increase that has us paying the same high health insurance premiums for minimal coverage. A pay increase that has us flying all over the Planet in a coach class middle seat which are getting more and more cramped by the day. I can go on, and on...

Don't sell yourself short by taking the bait. The company is hoping you're enticed solely by the $$$ that you overlook the rest of contract. That's all they want you to see, and demanding it plays right into their game. It's exactly what we went through in 2011 and why we've been stuck with our abysmal contract since. We are worth more than just an hourly rate and many sections of our contract need vast improvements. Our NC is working hard for these improvements, but until the company comes back to the table to NEGOTIATE and not just drop a pay rate on the table and walk away, we sit in purgatory and they continue to loose staffing.
How often does that REALLY happen?

Only every time I go to work. And why wouldn't it when the contract language allows it.

Commercial travel....It's the most stressful, uncomfortable, painful thing about the whole job.

If it happens so infrequently then it should be very inexpensive and really easy for management to agree to give you business class or better in the next CBA.

Just heard a rumor that 34 Omni pilots submitted there resignation today.

12 pilots going to Atlas and 22 pilots going to Kalitta.

If true, that is a loss of 16% of your pilot group in one day!

That should be enough for them to make a real move on something in the coming week. Them coming to the union last week is a strong indicator that they actually want to make a deal. An ongoing issue has been the radical nature of both sides.

It's not radical getting what two other companies that do the same stuff already have. And if we get it we are at their minimum with management that clearly is hostile towards the pilot group. Why would u come here over Kallita or atlas
