I have a possible interview with Kalitta Air Charters for a Captain positiion for the Lear 35 and was wondering if anyone has some information of what to expect.

The call out can be very short (15 min for cargo), but the pay could be worse. For ambulance and passenger the call out is one hour.

As a first year dual qualified FO, I made about 38k before per diem. I'm not saying that's great, but it's better than I expected.

You are correct on the uniform situation. For pure ad hoc cargo you are not required to be in uniform.

Is the quick take accurate on kalitta 2 (dc9, 727) as far as pay rates 85k capt 51 Fo and no crash pad required, 12 days off in 28? Do they airline you home if you are stuck out on the road on days off?

Not sure who gave the 57 hour per month guarantee. It is actually 50 hours per month. 3 to 5 percent raises every year. Over-time is 2.5 hours or block, whichever is greater. The company has condos or apartments or hotel rooms for you, so the no crashpad required is accurate. They definitely will airline you back to Detroit, or to your home (if the ticket is cheaper), for your days off. 16 days on, 12 off is correct. Are we hiring?

Thanks. I was just trying to get an apples to apples comparison. I work across the field and fly the same planes with the same cargo and make less and also have to pay for my crashpad. I kinda always figured pay/qol were close the same for all the nonscheds but maybe I was wrong
