Thanks t207! Does K2 cross train FOs to be a flight engineers as well? Or is there a group of dedicated FEs? Also about the 16 day rotation.. if I were to move to the area around willow run would I expect to be home some days? Thanks!

All engineers are professional engineers, no cross training for that seat. Yes if you moved to the area you would be home some of the days during the rotation, but you have two hours to have the plane in the air from the time of your callout. and you are on call 24/6. Whatever airframe you go to that is where you will stay until either you get tired of their crap and move on or they park the particular fleet for good then you will be furloughed. also, don't think you can get a foot in the door at Charters2 then go to Kalitta Air it will never happen.
I shouldn't have to say this but I will, this should be an absolute last resort choice of employer.
ps I am no longer employed there walked away 7 months ago for a much better company.

Any information about the Lear/Falcon operation? I’ve read the stuff on here about the 727 op, and that sounds like a chit show. What about the Lear/Falcon side of the house? Pay/QOL/Where do people go when they leave?

Also. I saw someone posted a few posts ago that said avoid K2/AmeriJet/USAJet, etc. Not to hijack the thread, but any reason why?

I’d LOVE to fly old school aircraft /A. I just think it would be so cool and such an experience. But I don’t want to jeopardize my future possibility of getting on with “the big 4”.

YOU, I’m not sure why I called I guess I really just wanted to talk to you.

Anyway, any latest on K2, not the mountain, the airline? Seems the 737 op is expanding and nothing has been posted in some time.

Go easy Chyna!

:

The word is out , nobody wants to go work there and risk a violation , they are looking for pilots for all seats and all aircraft and not due to any expansion... maybe if they will get rid of the SCAB in management they will have better luck

I think they are up to 8 or 9 737s nowadays.

Anything new on the 73 side of the operation? I didn’t apply for it, but got an email asking if I was interested in a position on the 73 with a 13/10 schedule, $100/hr, 50 hr guarantee
