Will you have to commute on off days when you no longer have home basing? What bases? What pay can you expect years 1&2 now and after the new contract? How close is the new contract to being done? Thank You

Hopefully the new contract will be out for vote by the summer. That's a pessimistic guess too. No one will know what is in the contract until it is out for vote. We have union calls to get updates and ask questions. There is some information that can't be told, even to the pilot group, until everything is signed and out to vote. If bases do come about expect to commute on your off days if you do not live in base. As far as pay goes, hopefully it will be a substantial increase from where it is now. I've heard as high as a 40% increase. If bases come about then the bigger the raise is going to be.
To those that have been hired, Congratulations!!! Can't wait to see ya'll out online. To those that have interviews, do what a previous poster said "be yourself." Show up dressed, groomed and on time or early and that will be 90% of your battle for the day. As far as the written goes knock off the dust on your Gleim instrument book and get re-familiar with that.

Is it the same pay rates for flying the 777?
Flying heavy planes for $50/hr FO and 100/hr CA is wrong. Years ago at interviews they said they knew the pay was low but it was just about to be fixed. Obviously it never was. What has changed from then to now?
I've met some of the pilots and they were good people, but for crying out loud it's 2011 and that pay won't allow for any kind existence. Particularly for what Omni does.

Congrats to all you who are getting on...I put in my stuff as of late Nov. with some internal help and follow up emails until the beginning of Jan...I got nothin'...in all fairness I'm pretty low time, so I'm sure that's got something to do with it...oh well, maybe the phone will ring one of these days!
