Wonder why they're still hiring...

Sadly in this business you have to keep hiring due to attrition even when you are in distress. I tend to believe a lot of Iaero pilots are taking advantage of a still warm pilot hiring market. So if by the grace they pull through, they have to hire to crew the remaining business. Amerijet is currently doing the same thing, downsizing while still hiring.

Makes sense. Other than the cert & cargo/NHL really not much value in anything else. Secured lenders must be fuming.

I have a phone screening coming up for iAero. I dont know much about the company, lots of conjecture on here. Are any current pilots available to reach out? Id love to hear about QoL and what schedules look like. A buyout by SY sounds like it may be a nice way to get a foot in the door too in the event everything goes downhill.

My brother in Christ, SY isn't buying them. They may have explored it but the current language from the CH11 management indicates they're closing up shop.

Think about it practically - what would acquiring iAero do for SY?

The handful of quality charter contracts they still have can be snatched up when the dust settles. The bulk of iAero's flying is ICE which is worthless to Sunny. The 737 classics are ready for the scrap yard and the NGs are leased.

Wht would stop you from going to SY right away? I'm pretty sure their hiring requirements are about the same.

I bet SY would like to get their hands on their 767 certificate

They shut that program down over a year ago, no active 767s at Swift.
