Something to keep in mind. The outstanding bonus money is getting paid out in one lump sum this fall. any pay raises are in addition, as I understand what the COO said. Soft pay (work rules) was brought up at the meeting the COO held in PRG by one pilot (me). In my opinion, this is more important than a straight hourly increase if they want us to be competitive with the likes of the ULCC's (COO's words). Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of management absent a CBA which requires representation.

I found it genuinely shocking to see this kind of operation at this level in the industry.
Yes, I grew up sheltered and naive apparently.
I can only assume the POI is a comatose vegetable in a FSDO ICU.

You and that other recruiter get the old Roman citizen treatment. And no matter what happens, youre never at odds with the emperor. This company is a legit 36th street operation. Its as lean as possible and you cant run a functional 121 this way. But Seift isnt functional and it takes the unique experience of being employed here to see that. So before anybody makes a mistake, Im gonna tell it exactly how it is. So yeah, youre gonna have pressurization problems...youre gonna have to go back and forth with the CP/DO about an MEL...youre gonna have to explain industry standards to a guy that thinks he’s God’s gift to aviation...youre gonna have pay issues which no one-and I mean no one-cares to correct...youre gonna have smoke blown along your taint...youre gonna melt in a plane with no APU and a single operating pack...youre gonna have riots on the airplanes...youre gonna feel like s#!+ at the end of a 6-8 hour day where you only flew 2.8 block hours...and youre gonna regret the move. This is by far one of the most eye opening aviation experiences Ive ever had. To see a company run so cheaply, with such a blatant disregard for the customer base and employees, makes you wonder where the bottom of the pit actually is! You know this but youve legitimized it all. You always have some response thay makes light of it all. But the truth is this place has some major issues. We operate according to the bare minima required-and apparently, thats good enough.
NO MAN. You are not the only one... Perhaps you message it better than most. Hit the NAIL right on the head. If you are ONE of the well rewarded group, then you will SEE, HEAR, SPEAK no evil of the one rewarding you, even though you see it happening every day. They know who will fly the airplane with 15 DMI’s, of systems that will reduce your margin of safety, when another Captain just turned the airplane Down. We will always have the ENEMY from within. Perhaps Swift knows that, and will exploit it to Nth degree.

LONG past time to get ALPA on the property. The mgmt there will fall apart dealing with a real organization

In fact I bet this is the perfect airline to allow a strike for once the negotiations have run their course

It’s not impossible, I think the only challenge is the different pilot groups within the company to unite. Every area of operations has its own set of challenges. IWA, home basing, MIA etc.

I believe xtra was able to create its own organization. I think unionization here is inevitable at some point. But it’s not a quick process.

Can be a quick process. When the xtra pilots all, ALL leave to go to the nex Xtra troubles are coming... and the union Xtra had will be on the property when they go back.

IF... I may ask.
How is that process coming along. There are some of us that are willing to jump ship, or as MEXI has so elegantly stated
“ Leave if you are NOT happy at SWIFT “
Please keep us posted. And YES, if a Dozen Captains leave the same time to go to EXTRA, as their first class, $#^€ will hit the fan here for sure.
But maybe that’s why they are feeding their mouth piece on this site info about possible pay raises, but that alone will not help.

I don’t know how many would go back, a res startup is always risky.

There are at least 10 waiting to go back if my math is correct.

Regarding Unionizing,,, got to find a union willing to take the pilot group first

I wouldn't know. They did have cards printed that's the last fact I know.
