Didn't take long for all the disputed pairings to disappear

Flying disputed pairings not wear union issued lanyard. Sounds the same to me. But then you are in to the job for fashion... sorry I forgot.

"I support the Union, but I don't like the design of the lanyard (or the lanyard is lame")
Same kind of statement...either way. Always makes me want to ask those people "just how do you support the troops when your statements and actions show antipathy for them. Why don't you make public statements of your support." I am sure going to the VA to visit veterans is not convenient or comfortable, but Rolling Thunder did to show support....the lanyard may not be cool or comfortable, but .... do you want to make a public show of support? By the way, I also fly an American Flag from my doorstep everyday, not just the 4th of July and Memorial Day.
I go to Church more often than Easter and Christmas as well.
Are you committed? Or lukewarm? These sound like the lame excuses I hear from my pre-teen when he is trying to justify juvenile actions he is embarassed to admit he has taken.

An F/O dropped his trip yesterday after he found out it was a disputed pairing. He did the right thing and within the hour, it was picked up out of open time. Unbelievable!

The difference is one is real important the other is only important. It is a job not an adventure. Prioritize, for me: God, Family, Country, Job (includes Fedex and Alpa). If some here think this put me one step above scab tough. If the union doesn’t like my current participation, have them send me a letter kicking me out. Second hand from some rah rah on the web aint good enough. Why don’t you wear two lanyards and teach management a real lesson. I don't wear a lanyard or fly disputed pairings. Hope this dosen't hurt my side job of selling ALPA nipple rings.
You have some hostility. I don't think it is my place to prioritize those things for you. I know where my priorities lie and they're good enough for me. By the way, I don't have issues whether you wear one or not.
I do form an initial opinion when I see a guy without any kind of insignia. I try not it influence my opinion of that person. I often wonder if they're trying to make a political statement by not wearing one. It almost seems like it takes a concious effort not to wear the lanyard. It is what it is.....It wasn't that hard to trade the purple lanyard for the ALPA one. Not that big a deal, so I really wonder about the guys that make such a big deal about it....and those that are also so defensive about it.
Frankly I have better things to do. This sounds like a FightINPHO thread now.

Holy Cow, there is an over-reaction. I was just commenting that the excuse sounded lame. Let me make it perfectly clear. I am not trying to "teach management a lesson" by wearing a lanyard. I actually appreciate the things that the ACP's that I have worked with have done for me.

Notice I did not set any priorities for you, that is why I said "for me".
Not a political statement not wearing one, wore it the first day and said this sucks. Couldn't find it now if I wanted to. Please read all of the thread over any "big deal" or hostility comes from conformity now crowd. I don't care what you wear, show me the same courtesy.
