The 747 has " street cred " with just about every phylum of pilots, especially the freight dog breed.

Sorry for the mistake. I redirect to Diesel 8.

As far as hiring trends go, I don't think it's a question of caliber. Seems they (DAL, FX, UAL) are targeting a certain profile of candidate and maybe placing more emphasis on corporate culture fit than we assume.

This is the timeline we are working with

Right now we are working through the sections of the proposed TA to get them into the final form that can be presented to the group for ratification this process will take about a week or so

Then the 3rd week of this month the NC will meet with our counsel and Exco members for any final issues

We will meet with the company during the last week of Oct to agree to the final document - then the TA will go out to the pilot group

We want this done by prior to the 31st

Webinars and road shows will start the 1st week of Nov and will continue throughout the month

Voting will start sometime in the 2nd week of Nov - The voting will end on Nov 30th

If ratified the new contract will go into effect December 1st, 2016

All that being said - this is just our proposed timeline, something may arise that requires shifting it somewhat - so this is not in stone - but it is our plan
Gentleman your NC has completed a Final TA with Kalitta Air
the TA will be voted on by the KA exco and then the 1224 Executive Board
the crewmembers should have the TA sometime next week

"Active Shooter" has maintained on several occasions that he is a higher level of pilot candidate than most, being a "tier one" pilot.

He wouldnt be allowed to trump himself up like that if it weren't true.

Embrace the arrogance.

Man, you are a "Real Delta Pilot(RDP)." You go fly with the best, and look down at all scummy pilots who don't wear hats and double breasted jackets. They clearly aren't the best, but you are. Now excuse me as I go spit out the bile and half my dinner that's in my mouth.

I don't see myself being a good match for Delta's corporate image. Jealous? Nah man, I am super happy where I am now.

Were you born a moron or have you been working at it all your life? Either way, it worked out fine.

That's hard to say. They teach that tactic at Union busting school, so he may have been a leader in his class from day 1 or could have taken a while to learn it...but he's mastered the technique it seems.
