Sad to say...it was actually kind of fun. If you're coming in from flying an antique, the sim eval felt at home in a sense. All it is doing, is checking to see if you can learn and teach yourself. Go in with an open mind.

I've got this: it's not ego Maga, it's called a demonstrated skill set. Back to your point, if I relied only on the glass and the autopilot For my salvation,I could end up like the crew of AF 447. That ended pretty badly.

You're a troll
You might want to consider a career in computer programming rather than try to fly a 400,000+ lbs. Jet.

I see this thread has turned a bit south...
I'm a new hire so take this as you will.
ABX is full of stand up guys that are incredible sticks and totally down to earth geniune individuals. They fly by the book, trained very well, and get the job done...even in this toxic mgmt relation nonsense.
Some new guys will stay, a lot will not put up with the BS and leave, but let's not knock each other..I believe it's still a great time to get on here and they put you through the grinder in the sim to make sure you're worth the effort. Some simply are not. Frankly, I thought I screwed up the sim for sure. That $100 bill "paperclipped" to my resume must not have gone unnoticed!
Cheers and good luck to all that apply.

I know of only one person that has failed out of training, but I've been told that there were some other issues going on. There might have been a couple more people that I'm not aware of.
For what it's worth, everyone in my class passed their orals (the last 4 of us did ours today). We are still in the middle of sim, but training is very good and fair as long as you're willing to put the effort in. If you take the job, just work hard and you'll be fine. They aren't going to offer the job to people who are incapable of meeting their standards.
