I've read some recent discussion about JS policy. I'm a Southern pilot, we're "Home Based" so are provided with commercial travel to work. Getting from SEA to CVG is an all day or all night affair (as is my case)
JS on ABX from SEA to CVG could be easier and more conducive to getting good rest prior to my flight to Leipzig the following night. I'm keeping my commercial travel as a back up depending on the answer to my question.
My question, Am I allowed to JS to CVG on ABX?

Most companies do not cash-out a pilot if they do not use company paid airline tickets for their CBA commute. Many have a 'bank' or credit type of system that you can use towards deviating a future ticket differently that what the airline is willing to pay or schedule you for; such as reducing a leg/better routing at a higher cost, or seat upgrade.
It's common place for pilots (home based included) to jumpseat a different airline and better routing for travel to/from their personal block of time instead of using their company paid ticket (CTR this includes ATI..).
What is not considered acceptable is jumpseating for company business (except on your own airline); even if it's more convenient. Some examples would included positioning to move an a/c, training, movement of crews, check-airman positioning, to/from mx or ferry flight. These and others are all events the company must purchase crew tickets and the crew must use them with duty time.
As far as ABX goes, you're always welcome aboard for personal use, particularly for to/from your line commute. Just keep in mind ABX (like others) utilizes their j/s for company biz for crew movements on routes they can. So between that and ABX pilots who commute (higher priority), your routing may be competitive.
