Are they paying the new guys the $2,500 to change domiciles from ILN to CVG? If so, this should help with the living costs. If not, why not? Are the new hires based in ILN or CVG when they get hired?

A serious question for anyone that might want chime in. I received the offer for the August class, and I'm excited about it. My question is having a wife and two month old daughter am I crazy for thinking the ABX/ACMI lifestyle will be conducive to having a family life? Or should I keep plugging away for a passenger 121 gig? PM's welcomed. Thanks.

Your wife will have to be independent enough to take care of everything around the house while you're gone. If she can, and is willing, to do that the benefit is that you will frequently get large blocks of days off.

If I were you I'd wait until that perfect job appears. Military guys understand the hardships of being away unlike most civilians. Don't take the offer.

I was recently called by ABX for an interview. I understand they have you for about 17 days out of the month, but how many nights on average are you away from base (CVG)? With all of the hiring they apparently need to do, what is the best guess at upgrade times for someone hired now?
