I forgot to put one of those sarcasm faces on it. It's an investment, I understand. I just have to figure out a way to make it work with my current job which isn't the easiest thing to do unfortunately.

If that doesn't boost self esteem I don't know WHAT does.
It's a pretty sweet deal, as you know.

I know it seems cheap and on the initial look; not too good that ABX isn't paying for all this stuff like you'll see at the major airlines. Of course, they already have the seats and system to offer you a ticket (most airlines will only 'buy' you a ticket/seat on their own system). Hotels and transport are a drop in the bucket to them. For ABX and most other ACMI types, it's big money to them to spend on people that don't even work for them. As you've seen....we have to argue with the company to spend money on their employees and operation!

As MC so kindly put it, the answer to your questions are basically no. Although if you are cockpit qualified for an air carrier you can get a 'positive space' jumpseat within the ABX Air system. Of course that would mean you are already with a carrier that we already (most likely) have reciprocal jumpseat agreement. The rest is on your own.

No. You will need to stay at a hotel at your expense or at a crash pad. The crash pad is 400 a month and you can count on 2 months to finish training currently. There is one crash pad that now has a second house on property. Together, they can take up to 10 right now.
