ABX Air Hiring
#201
Has anyone who interviewed last Friday heard anything? They asked if I could make the May 9th class and I said I would rather take a June class if available. I sent paperwork in to HR along with a thank you letter on Monday. That was the last time that I heard anything. As far as lodging goes, the pheasant farm is where I fly RC planes. There is a active remote control field out there, as well as a few full scales.

So for any new hires that were looking for a place to stay, I did some digging today and not everyone answered or called back yet. I picked up a room at the cherry bend hunting lodge. Not sure how many rooms they have left, if any, but it's $400 a month.
The Wilmington Inn is offering a weekly rate of $309.19. That's with taxes included.
The Royalton Inn and Suites was willing to do $396 a week. I couldn't understand him very well, bad connection. So if you call, just double check the price and see if that was with taxes or not. Maybe get him a bit lower.
There are other B & B's in the area but 2 were closed and another never returned my call.
The Holiday Inn and Holiday Express were both just the basic ABX rate, which is okay but will get pricey with such a long stay.
The General Denver Hotel is going to get back to me with a rate.

I was there 15 years ago. Two huge thumbs up...
I worked with Norm in DC-8 Standards. He gave an awesome "Captain upgrade" class. I don't care who you were, or what you had done; everyone learned something, in a non- threatening way. Great guy.
I also spent 3 years at the Cherrybend Pheasant Farm; a dream crash pad situation, if there ever was one.

I am just not willing to leave my current company hanging. The notice was going to be close to not being two weeks and I am under contract. They told me they respected my loyalty in the interview. After speaking with hire ups and we ironed out a possible May 9th class I let Tracey know that a May 9th could work for me if they let know right away. At this point I assume the May 9th class is filled. When I originally spoke with them they told me they were doing a May 2nd class which wouldn't allow me to give 2 weeks notice.
