ATI does not have a B scale[/QUOTE]
Call it what you want, X, Y or Z scale. Based on what I have read, ATI suspended negotiations and accepted ATSG's single scale with no DOS + scales except for the 12 year guys. No quality of life improvements.
Also, MEC seems to want no part of raising the bar. It sure seems that ATI working with ABX could raise the bar for all.

The leadership of ATI continues to communicate they aren't interested in raising the bar for the ATI membership with the ABX membership. However, I speak with numerous ATI guys daily that are starting to get it...

Hello everyone! I interviewed last week with ABX, did the simulator (DC8) and then I was sent off for the urine screen. I haven't heard anything as of yet but I have a few questions. One, how hard is the training? Ive been reading through some of the old gouges and to be honest from what I have read it sounds intimidating. I have a type, and I currently have approximately 6500.00 hrs. The sim instructor seemed to be very happy with how I did and told me that several times on my way out to the door. Mike was a very nice guy. My second question is, what does everyone think about ILN becoming a hub?

Let's just say this about training: you will be held to the same standards as everyone else. Training is fair....but demanding. You won't be spoon fed but when you finish...you will know you accomplished something. Unlike some places, everyone trains to the standard. You won't have to worry about how one capt does it vs another.

That is good to hear because I would be leaving a good job to come to ABX. My dad did not fly for ABX, he was in sort maintenance. I used to go sit where the old airforce base used to be and watch YS11s, DC9s, and DC8s land all night while we waited for him to get off work as a young child. ABX has been a big part of my life.

Thank you! I haven't had a offer as of yet. They really didn't say too much about when they would call. I told them I wanted to give my company now as much notice as possible and that June would be a better fit for me.
