Default Mountain air cargo pilots?

I have an interview coming up at MAC. I am looking for the real story behind this company. Management will always paint the absolute best picture. I want the scratches in the glass so to speak.
If anyone works there and is willing to hook me up I would appreciate it.

Have you tried searching the forum? A quick search of the Cargo section produced about 8 specific threads about life at MAC over the last 10 years.

Yes, I have read those. However, getting in touch with someone experiencing the company at this moment is kind of what I am looking for. It will also allow me to get a feeling for current management that someone might not be overly willing to post. Thanks for the suggestion though.

MAC vs Regionals :
MAC is at the lower end of the pay scale, with no retention bonus offered.
Service Awards = $100/year,$500/5 years,$1000/10 years.
Regionals : $10,000-20,000 retention bonuses with a few offering flow to majors.(Envoy/Piedmont/PSA)
Schedule: MAC FO's based with Aircraft:11 weeks on:1 off.FO floater's:5 weeks on:1 off.Captains:3 weeks on:1 week off.
Aircraft Schedule is 24/7,with most flights covering the eastern US.

Here's is an example of a positive, for example. When is based in, let's say EWN... you depart at about 20:00 local. Arrive CAE at bout 21:00. Go to the hotel... get 8 hours rest and depart CAE at about 07:00 the next morning arriving at about 08:15. One has the day to themselves, dinner with the family with weekends off. Yeah the pay is not the best, and there's no flow through to FedEx contrary to popular belief, but all in all, not a terrible gig. One week off every month is not too bad either. And that's in addition to annual leave.

New VP of Ops and VP of Mx.... improvement?

Anyone chime in on Empire, MACs counterpart as a FedEx feeder?

Life is good on the dark side. Yeah, we're having the same problem as every other regional (attracting FOs) but that's to be expected in the current environment. FedEx is aware of the problem, hence our pay raise.

We're finally getting iPads, looking forward to never doing Jepp revisions again (6 months to go!).

Some runs are cake and you'll have the entire day to work on other projects. Some runs are all-nighters and require a day-sleep schedule. Either way, weekends off and very low stress. Great group of guys'n'gals.

Side note: Is MAC opening a base in DFW/AFW? And somebody said y'all have home-basing now for floaters?

So you fly one, hour and fifteen minute leg at night..."Layover" and then do an hour and fifteen back and you're done?

Sounds pretty damn good.
