Default FDX: What's with the new seat bid?

The seat bid is opened up again - what is this caused by? I thought the next one was in April....

It's not really a seat bid. They have been doing this periodically. I think they are trying to gather intel on who intends to stay past 60.

Besides, it just disappeared again, and there isn't an FCIF out anyway.

I think it disappears after you look at it. Those who haven't clicked on it will still see it when they log on.

The triple 7 option has been there for a couple of months.

Anytime they change the options , ie. B777, they post the link to Standing Bid!

Ah So!

The difference here is the notice on the home page said Standing Bid Open. Thats' gone. I clicked on it, ut didn't submit anything. I don't think it is open until the FCIF confirms it. Of course you can update your standing bid at any time.

You don't have to answer the age 60 question to get out of or past the standing bid menu. I don't think it's any of the company's business when I plan to retire. I can see that they'd like to know for planning purposes but I don't think I owe them an answer.
