Default FDX bid question

Is there a way to see the trips that have been saved in Nov for CIC and VTO lines?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think trips are specifically saved for CIC or VTO. All known flying (except DPs) is supposed to be included in the bid pack at the time it's published.

If you're talking about trips like mil charters, extras and trips modified via inputs from the SIG that never make it into the bid pack - no, I don't believe there is any way to see them prior to the closing of the bid.

On a related matter: Sometimes trips show up in open time only hours before the close of the view/add. If you're doing CIC or VTO, it's sometimes worth an early wake up to check open time one last time before the view/add closes.

Trips don't get saved. Occasionally, a disputed pairing's construction is revised too late to be incorporated into a bidpack line. SIG-notes usually point them out along with the disputed pairings

If you're asking if you can see them, yes. After the monthly bid closes next week, look at open tIme and put the last day as the end of the Nov bid month. All trips that were not used to build lines will show up. After the initial conflict window, all the trips dropped for CIC, vacation, and training conflicts will be available for viewing. After the view/add window closes, the remaining trips available for Secondary (VTO) and custom lines will still be visible.

I was hoping to figure out before the bid closes which trips in the bid pack were not built into lines. I was thinking about bidding a r-24 line that conflicted with training and building a line with these trips using CIC.

I was under the assumption some trips in the bid pack are not actually built into a line, thus available for CIC and VTO. I was looking for an easy way to find out which trips those were.

According to the contract some trips are left out of the process to prime the pump. In practice that is not too many. But those trips show up in the view open time window for CIC and view add as previously discussed. It has happened that sometimes some good trips are added after the windows open which is why it suggested to check early and often. By the contract trips, are not supposed to be hidden. But sh1t happens.

I am working on a way to display the leftovers in BidX Pro, however I doubt it will be complete for this bid.

HOWEVER, you should be aware that in general, the PSIT tries to build every pairing it can onto a line. The leftovers are generally comprised of disputed pairings, small pairings that won't build onto a line, or pairings that are being revised at build time. A function in BidX to display such pairings would not be accurate with those pairings being revised.

It is worth noting that the pairings you probably really care about do not show up until after the bid closes, and consist of those pairings that are knocked out by carry-in conflict (show up as soon as the awards are published), and vacation and training bids (which show up as those are processed).

Good luck!

Thanks for all the help/advice. Am I correct in thinking an entire string of R days gets dropped and those hrs are avail in CIC if I have sim training in the middle if that string?

Yes, just make sure there is at least one R-day on both sides of the training. Also, carryover R-days in the adjacent month will not be dropped even though they are continuous with those in the training month. So, make sure you have at least one R-day from your training month schedule on both sides.
