Perhaps the underlying theory was best expressed by a hiker: "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you."

Think of yourselves as debt slaves rather than wage earners and you will start to get the picture.
It's not that simple. The debt was accelerated by international banks who colluded to securitize everything and who defrauded the public through fake ratings of formerly safe securities. For example, heaps of bad loans mixed in with good loans and then having a ratings agency rate them all AAA. Many of those securities were bough by pension funds who believed the rating. In 2008 all those funds were wiped out. Massive, unregulated immigration causing debt overload on social welfare systems, huge spending on wars, much of which is hidden in the "black" budget. Zero percent interest which destroys savings and forces elderly onto welfare programs. Massive outsourcing of jobs, which has destroyed a large segment of middle class, loss of tax revenue from companies hiding profits overseas.

First stop voting for Democrats and Republicons.

Stop handing out H1b visas. Stop giving citizenship easily to foreign nationals who graduate from grad school.

Create better partnerships between education and business for CITIZENS. Promote vocational training, insitute a Fachhochschule program like Germany's. If US companies can't find skilled workers, then the company should TRAIN them, like they do in Germany.

Reinstate tariffs on foreign imported goods, renegotiate NAFTA, Refuse to represent US companies in WTO talks who offshore all of their operations and keep profits overseas. Create real incentives to onshore jobs, through tax breaks and assistance for training skilled workers. Shift money to these programs while reducing welfare programs. Get the long term unemployed into the jobs the illegal aliens are doing. No free welfare. You must do SOMETHING to get it. Clean streets, parks, repair schools, work in libraries, work in school run after school programs, so other parents can work and not have to pay some illegal alien to babysit their kids, because school ends at 2:30.

Do you realize that China DEMANDS that any foreign company operating over there is a 51% joint-venture, Chinese owned. China DEMANDS a transfer of technology to the Chinese within 10 yrs--and we allow China MFC status!!

I have no problem with a limited amount of aliens serving in the military, but I believe the military industrial complex is out of control. We have a fake war on "terror" which can never be won, because terror is not a person place or thing, it is a concept. It is being used to justify the cold war MIC mentality.

Foreign bases at FedEx are only allowed because we (FedEx) pay an extremely large amount of money to both those countries and the US to allow us there. There are lots of restrictions on our pilots that are there and even the length of time they can stay. Unlike your attitude of "open boarders", we have to follow the law or we get kicked out.

Oh and before you tell me the Indians were the only natives to the US, can you please explain why they have Eurasia DNA? They are immigrants too…
Read the post!!! They said aliens. Even specifying that some get green cards then take away job from US born citizens. I don't support illegal immigration because you have no idea who is coming across. So yes the borders should be secured. However the jobs refferenced in previous post, are not being held by illegals. They are being held by legal aliens. Which is why I say you can't discriminate against them.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying in this post, except that you assumed that I vote Dems or Rep. I'm not by not means a supporter of either party.

Given the confluence of tax and monetary policy would it be logical to expect any other outcome?

Imagine that you give politicians power over the banks and the banks and the politicians end up in bed together. Who would have thunk it? I have a solution give the politicians more control of the banks.

Yes the banks are at fault and bankers should go to jail but then you would have to jail the politicians who insist they make crap subsidized loans and are shocked when they unload them. Only problem is Barney Frank might like jail.
