Well, you know us cheap pilots. Always trying to save on refilling our ink. Though I suppose that's what company printers are for, to print company communications.

Will keep copies from now on. Apparently somebody will conveniently delete your emails when desired.

What is it exactly, we would do with a copy of the SCP's original MH17 statement?

Who knows? That's the whole point of keeping communication that has been published by management, so that at some time in the future, those words are still available.

Wow. When will the crewforce in general realize that certain managers' lack of integrity is only matched by their incompetence? Has FS figured that out? Does he even care? Perhaps these people are exactly the kind of people he wants to run his airline.

I also wonder about the lawyers who must wince when such misstatements are made. It probably doesn't matter much to them. They get paid for damage control. But, do they know that sometimes the "cover-up is worse than the crime?" Are the lawyers even serving the company's interest, or just their own cause?

In the company's self-proclaimed "just culture" there aren't any management lies. Sometimes they misspeak or are misinformed. Other times they just can't remember certain things. That's the way they play the game. That's why emails get lost. That's why we need to document everything. Sooner or later the house of cards some of these people have built will come down on them.

Maybe some people don't know the definition of "Just Cause".

My Dad used to come home from work and say "Son, go back there and get my strap. I'm goin to tear your butt up." I'd say, "Why Daddy?" He'd say
"Just 'cause!"

Of course we have been flying over the Ukraine for 13 years without any problems either. Iran, Russia, China, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, among others all nice little thugocracy and as long as it is to their advantage nothing will happen. Of course if the rational kook gets overthrown in the middle let's hope the FAA gets the notam out.

Just for reference, was all of your Iran flying in a US flag airliner?
