Quite right, any good protection racket runs on regular extortion. It is far cheaper and easier just to pay them to go away than fight them in a kangaroo court.

jungle beat me to it but the Democratic party's appetite for "contributions" is insatiable. That's how broke Hillary became very rich Hillary.

If we had given the Democrats more than UPS and FedEx the cargo cutout would not have happened.

They have what is kindly called "Moral Flexibility".

Good point, but you forgot that both sides have the same affliction.
There aren't any good guys in this play, they will take everything up to and including your life.

Organized crime is alive and well. It is a gross tactical error to assume either side is your friend.

Good point, but all of the power brokers have lots of blood on their hands. From cars off bridges and dead secretaries to undeclared wars you will not find one clean of crimes.

Nor will you find a single one who has paid the price for those crimes.

The real problem is that there is zero accountability. Run us broke or kill 50,000 and you will never have to answer, just look forward to a cushy retirement.

The only way you will ever win is by deciding not to play.
