FDX - Only the Facts
I was hoping to start a thread that does not focus on what others are doing or not doing and begin one that is focused on what “I” am doing. It is obvious that many are fed up with lots of things going on at FDX and have decided, on their own that they want to exercise the hard fought contractual scheduling rights that we have EARNED. What we can’t allow is "assumption" to snowball into fratricide.
Specifically when it comes to posting things why don’t we concentrate on things we know are fact, like: “I was offered draft for trip(s) and I took it or turned it down based on …” . An individual cannot know with 100% certainty the manner in which the trip(s) flew regarding pay code. We should not make jumps in logic and put down fellow pilots. If you want to know how a trip or training event was operated then have the intestinal fortitude to contact that person and discuss it. There are many things that can occur to fill a trip or training event that do not involve draft even if said trip was offered previously as draft.
Bottom line, we have some pretty good contractual rights to adjust our schedules, fly extra or fly less than your awarded line. We are not in self help and the Union has asked us to stay informed, engaged and unified. If the majority of people feel the same way then the individual decision making going on will look much the same from individual to individual. Now back to the World Cup!
