FDX - Company pulled some bots - FxCal broken
Friends-
It appears the company is not requiring bot codes for some or all 'bid line adjustments'.
I need to find out if this is temporary or if it is permanent for the near future.
I also need to track down how many bid line adjustments are affected (trade, pickup, drop, etc)
Then I can post an update.
Sometimes when you write code you guess correctly and can allow for some changes and still work. This time I did not. You will have to put in these requests manually until we figure this out. Sorry.
By the way, I am not a fan of the current 'baby' bot codes. I have requested in the past that the company drop them entirely, or put in real, stronger CAPTCHA so our peers who have bots do not get an advantage. So maybe the company is removing them entirely.

Thanks for fixing what IT screwed up....
So Appdude, does company IT work with you at all? It appears they have no clue how their site is actually used and couldn't care less.
"You use a bidding software program? You use an App to access VIPS? Why would anyone do that?"
Here are the answers IT rocket surgeons -
1) Tons of lines to bid. They are of varying quality because your friends making the pairings are also in their own world.
2) It's called checking your schedule for the many changes that GOC likes to throw at us. Checking in on trips, etc.
3) Trip pickup. Again, your friends in GOC have folks who build extra pairing to avoid actually planning 90% of the schedule. Something about they don't have to be of bid pack quality and can't be disputed.
Maybe you should get a briefing from those that actually interface with the pilot group.
I imagine IT shows their boss how they're making great strides with VIPS on a demonstration computer. A computer that is much younger and has different software than the ones that VIPS gets used on in the field.
Field = AOC
What a Crystal Palace.

Actually, they have been pretty good about trying to give a heads up.
Remember, it is their site and their job is to keep it running for the standard browsers (IE,Safari, etc)
It is better than it used to be.
