I wonder what the FAA Aeromedical division in Oklahoma City would think of this policy? Anyone interested in contacting them to find out?

I'm sure their ego's would be hurt if they knew that FedEx was pilot pushing.

I suggest you apply to any and all management positions at the earliest opportunity, as you would be an excellent and welcome addition to our Flight Ops team.
You are fighting the wrong battles and looks like you will make a fine addition to the tool box, I suggest you transition to the 777 ASAP. You will fit in great with the other idiots that gave that plane a bad name.

I have to throw this out there......There may be some tools on the 777 but they are few and far between now. It's been my experience that there are a hell of a lot of great pilots/people on the airplane! I flew with a much larger percentage of TOOLs on other fleets!

Who care where he or anybody else parks... As long there are still spaces, does it really matter? We have bigger fish to fry! I have lots of complaints with this place but that ain't one of them... I do take offense to his non union membership much more than parking!

I agree that the DO may extend you to FAR limits. What I was referring to was the follow on about letting CRS know if you become excessively tired. If you do that, you then talk to the DO. Based on that conversation, he has two options. One is to keep your duty within operational limits, the other is to release you to a legal rest. Done it before and it works fine. You don't have to use the fatigue card, just say you are to tired to go past operation limits.

Well now they are pressing to test and simply making you go to FAR limits, with the only out of calling fatigued!

Well what a team player you are! And you're calling someone else a tool?? You kind of sound like that may be a good description of yourself. Do me a favor, don't transition to the 777. We don't need non-tools such as yourself!

Purpletailed10, that actually sounds like a good idea. Why don't you pursue it and see what they say in Ok. City? (Seriously).

Since the FAA is pretty much in bed with airlines and manufacturers, it might be better to forward the "advisory" letter (ie. threat of discipline) to the DOT OIG with a visible CC to your senators' office of constituent services (just to give the DOT the proper motivation). I know first hand from dealing with a certificate issue in the past, no one wants to hear from their boss, especially federal employees. It was amazing how responsive and polite they were when they got phone calls from both Biden's and Bill Roth's office.

Just say'in....
