Fact. Delta to purchase 50 wide bodies
Fact. Delta is hiring 300 a yr
Fact delta is growing and ceo' s mission is to make the airline the biggest and the baddest in the world.

Ups.
Fact. We barely calling back 44 guys after 4 yrs
Fact. There no expansion or A/C orders in fact it's echoed several times by the ceo and cfo NO CAPITAL EXPENDITURE.
FACT.Shrinking airline and 15 to 18 yr stagnation.
Fact. Management continuous effort to do away with us and finding ways to farm away our jobs.

Put the pipe down bro and be happy . You're Hired By Ine The Best Carrier Out There With A Good Future And pay, Stay Where U R And Dont Look back.

Do you think UPS has a clause in their CBA that says they won't call a guy back if he's employed somewhere else?

How is that burning a bridge? Was he supposed to have been sitting at home in underwear watching Flintstones reruns and eating Doritos for the last 6-1/2 years waiting for the phone to ring.

I resigned from UAL before I got the job at FedEx. I sent a certified letter (with return receipt) to the UAL chief pilot resigning my file number there. They still offered me a recall.

Nope you missed the point. I am pretty sure that UPS does not have a clause that protects someone in the pool. Other than good post.

I don't know, swimming since DEC 2007.
CAL 07 hire.
Lost 14.8 % seniority in the ISL.
I'll be at the same % company wide in Aug 2017, that I was in Aug 2013.
Earliest upgrade, on the 73, would probably be 2020+/-.
Second year pay at UPS, on reserve, is more than 8 year WB pay at the new UAL, which is approx the same as 95 hrs a month on the 73/756.

As of now, I'd leave UAL in a heartbeat and try my hand somewhere else.

Jay, Money isn't isn't everything. If you are willing to go to ANC for several years at the bottom of the list and upgrade in 10+ years just for the paycheck then apply when the time comes, be careful what you ask for.
