Scott Davis' culture is to furlough to increase the profit margin, not protect the company from financial hardship. THAT culture has no problem executing a round of layoffs to increase management bonuses.
How about the pilot culture? How many of you flew extra with brothers and sisters on the street?

Let me guess --- You were one of the ones saying there would not be a furlough. That advice proved to be costly for some.

We have no unity, unlike the IPA. We will still be open time and draft *****s and guys like you will still continue to be company men.

Under 20 guys out of 2600 over almost 4 years violated the JA/OT ban. Name another group with a better record than that. The furloughees are also coming back to near industry leading pay after the IPA took care of COBRA for that entire time to anyone who needed it. The company couldn't have unified us any better for contract negotiations. The company blows in how it treats all it's hourlies, but i'll take the IPA culture over anyone. BTW, management has some openings here you might be interested in.
