How do you pick up charters on your SICK footprint? I thought you could not pick up any trips on a footprint of a SICK trip even if you call in WELL a few days prior to the end of the footprint. i.e. call in sick 7 day trip, call in well two days later then pick up a trip on the 3rd of the 7 day footprint. These guys are doing it.

And I'm writing here because I over-heard an F/O on the crew bus last night talking about the "Wolfpack" and OTP recycling. Dumbasses are reading this forum and think it's all fact when most is just conjecture presented as fact.

One thing I haven't seen discussed is possible "Wolfpack" tactics. Do we know if the pack is picking up everything they can collectively, then swapping it among themselves? What happened to the x-pairing JS was on, that he no longer has...does one of the other "Wolfpack" brethren now have that trip or was it cancelled?
I also noticed that many of the "Wolfpack" appear to call in SCK a lot--especially over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

"I don't think you can use OTP or M/U in a SCK footprint. But, you can pick up a trip MUS in the SCK footprint. MUS doesn't rise to the top of the heap like OTP does, does it?"
No it doesn't. It either has equal or less priority than regular makeup. But yes, in a sick footprint you can use MUS, that's all you can do, I believe.

Charters and Extras get dealt with as follows: If there's more than 3 days to show time, the extra trip sits in open time for at least 24 hours. Less than 3 days to show, it sits in open time on sliding scale down to the minimum time for assignment. This gives the largest number a chance to put in for it. From those who put in for the charter/extra, the trip is assigned based on charter/extra "leveling" hours over the last year.
