I know a lot of these posts mention charters and that is true, the same guys are always getting the charters but it goes beyond that. The same bunch are also flying the really nice x pairings that show up with all the deadheads around the world. Charters are only part of the problem. I was also told the same thing that was stated earlier, there are bots that can actually go in and change the time stamp for their submission to be number 1 no matter how many have already been submitted. The guy who told me this seemed pretty knowledgeable on how the whole system works. He actually said there were 6 of them (many with employee numbers very close together - like same new hire class) and they actually had some cute name they called themselves. Can't remember the name but something like "It's all about me boys", no wait a minute, that's my name for them. True story that they have a name for themselves.
I think "falsification of a company document" would fit this crime. If they are doing this, and it can be proven, it is a crime against their fellow crew members.
There is supposed to be a rule for draft assignment to "spread the draft around". Perhaps it is time for the union and company to come up with a rule to spread the charters and x-pairings around.
I call upon the union to address this in a timely manner, which means yesterday, as it has gone on for far too long already.

"If they use a program to move themselves to the number one time stamp, and it can be proven by either the company or the union, than they should be fired. All of them. Period, end of story."
Agree with this. I can't imagine how someone could do that, but then again I'm not too tech savvy. It seems like that would be easy to track. Put in a juicy charter trip during a period where these guys are free. Watch the order of people putting in the trade, if someone jumps to the top, you got em. They could even put in a bogus trip and when the trade is processed, put in the "trip not available" message, and cancel it before it's even awarded. That's happened to me before. So annoying.

The Company has the tools to determine what they're doing, but no motivation to stop it, because they're not hurting The Company.
They're only hurting their fellow pilots. ALPA has a reason to do something about it, but not the tools to determine what or how they're doing it. Asking The Company to provide the information might be considered too confrontational.

Rest assured……the only international I get is Mexico and Canada….and that is rare….and never by choice…..
The only conversations I ever have with scheduling are "one way"….as in "You have a trip that shows at 0846z….Nooo…..I am strictly forbidden from telling you what time that would be "local", as I have access to the information on a computer in front of me, and you are just waking up from a deep coma. To tell you would negate an inherent advantage and power I have over you. That showtime is in 1 hr 28 minutes, but because the phone started ringing at 1:31 prior to show, no late parking for you fat boy!"
Actually, they are all much nicer than that…..its just how the groggy sleep interpreter translates it to me.
What I do do (did I just say????……never mind) is listen to George Noory on the way into my RA assignments. In the last decade or so I've learned how to "Remote View" the scheduling room and see what is going on the computers before they type it. This gives me a HUGE advantage over all my ALPA friends. Much, Much better than a "BOT". (You see…if I can't succeed, its important to me that my friends fail….in order for me to maintain my self-esteem). I get to see "Earlier Time Stamp" much earlier than all my friends.
Congratulations on coming to the Maddog. (Seriously). You must be excited and anxious to fly to be hawking open time so much to already be flummoxed by the FRZ notation in open time. Its irritating to me, but doesn't consume me.
Others here know I'm not a part of the "Wolf Pack"…….more like a "Beagle Pack". (short legs, big belly) My schedule is Unblocked……always has been……..boring though, just says RA. As a matter of fact, many of my commuter friends that have nothing to do in the crash pad text me and say "Have fun in TLC" when I didn't know I had a reserve trip yet.
I'm still not convinced you're just a guy that finally decided to post. Maybe you're management, maybe you're a guy who's ****ed at the FAB FIVE and want to get them busted, but you don't want to be the guy that turns them in. Did "YOU" go to ALPA or Management? Are you wanting the 12 Angry MEN to do your dirty work for you….I dunno, and I really don't care. Though I mentioned you by pseudonym, I was really just warning all that maybe this is a bad time to be peeing in the wind.
While we are all excited about this, someone just took a pass at our retirement at the negotiating table…..(No I don't know anything, just illustrative conjecture).
If you are who you say you are, then we'll run into one another some time on the road and I'll be the first to buy you a cold frosty one, though I admit, my schedule is not conducive to the consumption of alcohol. NOW……IF I HAD A CHARTER ON THE OTHER HAND……Uh…Oh……..Gotta go……three chimes means "Fish on!"

Point of order; he was calling himself a double digit Bit@h. Had he addressed you it would have been as a near 4 digit Bit@h.

#9 was defending yourself…#10 is accusing the accuser! Now I believe you are a legitimate pilot……because it only takes about 10 or so posts before an APC member calls someone they don't know a "Bit@h".
