Memphis Institution Closed - Forever?
I'm a bit surprised that this subject hasn't been addressed yet, given the impression that I've had that it's so near and dear to the hearts of pilots forced to spend time in my beloved Memphis.

Officials say "Platinum Plus" was packed with nearly 400 patrons, by the time everyone was checked out the law ended up hauling off more people than it had planned on.
The owner's of "Platinum Plus" in Southeast Memphis and "Tunica Caberet" in Southwest Memphis have had numerous run-in's with the law.

Funny you should mention that, as one of the local TV news pieces had an interview with a displaced employee complaining that she has three kids to feed, and this being the holiday season, she couldn't understand why they'd be puttin' her outta werk . . .

I'm very disappointed ... I always wanted my daughter to grow up and get a good paying job at Platinum Plus. She's a real people person, I've always thought she would be good at public relations.

Platinum Plus - every time I hear that name, I think of a really good Airbus friend of mine, chasing a hooker around the parking lot, in his shorts, after receiving an airstart in the back seat of his car. Seems she decided his wallet was really hers. Damn, I still laugh out loud over that one.
