Several other flights stopping in ANC have load capabilities ranging from 122,000 to 135,000 kgs to NRT and ICN over that time period.

I know the whales are doing well but the domestic structure is what I was wondering about. There are quite a few 75 & 76 operations doing nothing but domestic. I know thier loads arent anything to brag about. It takes 2 76's to feed the whale or vise versa on the domestic side. Thats weight only, not considering city parings. I cant see anyway possible they are making money on the domestic side unless companies are operating the 76 & 5's really cheap. Even then the tonnage isnt there.
For the ealier comment of DHL crashing cities, you are entirely correct. One another note Wilmington and Toledo were both crashed by German business models. I can think of a half dozens hubs and mini hubs that are gone and airlines that followed them.

They don't necessarily need to make a profit on individual domestic routes if they are feeding the profitable big iron going overseas. That being said, I ordered something online came out of texas. Shipped DHL to my post office (I live near CVG) and then the post man delivered it. So DHL is getting back in the domestic game little by little.

I think they can try until either UPS or FedEx gets annoyed. By looking at loads its obvious they would benefit from 73 freighters. Its cheaper to operate a smaller aircraft and "possibly" leave freight on the ramp than operate a bigger aircraft less than capacity. Lost a job to that
