My point is you sound like a buffoon and don't seem to realize it. Please notice I said that you sound like one and I didn't say you are one.
I have no problem with you questioning the union. Every union needs that, but you come across as attacking it. When you ask "What has the union done for us lately?", I have to wonder why you would ask such a ignorant question.
You could be attacking the union as an unknowing or knowing management lackey. Some of your attacks come right out of "Confessions of a Union Buster". "Unions waste your money", "Unions defend weaklings" and "Unions really don't do anything" are all ambiguous and stupid assertions that you have made. Those attacks do a disservice to all those guys and gals working hard for me and you.
You COULD be a selfish, arrogant ass that thinks he knows damn near everything. That's how you come across to me. Rather than take the time to find out something in private, you just shoot off allegations. "Ignorant and proud of it" should be your tag line.
I was just trying to point out to you that the union is working for us lately, since that was your question. Here are just a couple more examples/suggestions. But be forewarned that they take a little action versus just sitting on your ass and complaining.
1: Call ALPA and ask what the SIG Committee is and does.
2: Log on to your Vanquard account, Go to your money purchase Plan, Click on Transaction History, Look at JAN 5. Wow, the company was nice enough to just put some money in there out of love and respect with no negotiation from our wasteful union. That last statement was a weak attempt at sarcasm.
Attacking someone is just not in my nature, but defending someone who is working their ass off for me is. There are so many ways ALPA is working for us. If you can't see that, then nothing I can say will persuade or convince a close minded individual.
