Did they really say that internals would go ahead of external candidates? I thought the new hiring process brought to us courtesy of Dr. H eliminated any preferential treatment for internals in favor of bringing in "the best of the best" (to borrow a line from MIB).

When they say internals for the first class I think they mean nepotism. But what do I know.

Sorry but that's not at all what it says. It gives no numbers of new hires and only says they expect to continue hiring over the coming year.
Depending on how the contract goes and what is in it for those of us left behind (ie.....not retiring very soon) they may not need to replace all the retirees on a 1 for 1 basis.
Just my take on it......

I'm thinking the contract should require hiring no less than 1 for every retiree! Concessions are certainly not part of my plan. Nor, do I think they should even be thought of, as a possibility.
Just my take on it.....
