Just because he retired from the crew force doesn't necessarily mean he is going away...from his FCIF encouraging us to "embrace" the upcoming Landing Safety Program. Anybody wanna bet he hangs around as a "new" contractor? 35+years at FedEx ain't quite enough for some folks. Sad...very sad.

So what? Why would you even care for one second? You moved up a number. That's what happens when someone senior to you retires, quits, dies, or is let go. That should be enough, unless you're the secret retirement police, whose job it is to monitor and supervise those who retire, for their own good, of course.

Here's the problem(s) as I see it: 1) FedEx was, is, and always will be a good-ole-boys network. Therefore guys who've spent a career doing their jobs, while making nice with company management, will probably be taken care of, even in retirement; and 2) some of you guys constantly complain that the senior-most guys should retire, then when they do, the same guys continue to complain. As I stated in my previous post, you've moved up a number. That's the best you can do.
And Golfandfly, I'm sure you're only talking about the non-member retirees, right? Or are you also including retired ALPA members, who've stuck around in some capacity or another? Please be clear here.

Official language of many who live and/or fly within a 2 hour radius of Memphis up to this point in their career.
"Gooooowangjoe control.......FedEx twunny-fahhhve, checkin' in at 3-5-ohh. We're fixin' to descend in a few minutes and we wur hopin' to get some information on the arrival we maht be flyin' in there this evnun'. Cood y'all put us on 2-raaht? - that'ood sure hep us out.
"Calling Guangzhou control?"
"Goooooowangjoe control, FedEx twunny-fahhhve....... say again"
And on it goes from there.

I have been unable to log on to the pilot credentials web site to update my FedEx profile. It's been down for "scheduled maintenance" for 3 or 4 days now. Is anyone else having the same problem? And do you think this might be a sign that they are racking and stacking for the rumored hiring?
Thanks,
Mr. White
