But is that the new average age? Or is it just last year's average age when a crapload of over 65 engineers retired, skewing the average?

Are our 767's ETOPs certified? Are ANY of the 767 crews OVERWATER NAV qualified? That could be a huge training / maintenance hurdle. I bet there are FedEx A300/767 crews that have never flown outside the 48 states?

Just for discussion purposes ... our A310-300's were used by a previous airline to fly JFK - Europe. I always expected we would use them to supplement our EWR lift?

FedEx will be able to ETOPs certify our 767s.
Latest rumor is not to start with Atlantic flying when we get enough on property, but some north Pacific flying might be on the early 767 agenda.

We do a bit of intl out of IND. That might be the "secret" plan for the 767.

I have a question. When the company puts out a retirement announcement on PFC, is it proper etiquette to send a single card wishing both congratulations on a great career as well as happy birthday, or do you need to send two separate cards?

Ya think?

I know some of them transition to the 777...excuse me..."the triple"...... and then spend the next few years embarrassing FedEx on the radios trying to talk Memphrican to the Asian controllers.
