FDX need an assist
I am trying to sign up for an AA jumpseat.
On the major boards, they told me the website was:
myidtravel.com
That website requires an ID and a Password.
How do I get that from FedEx?
Does jumpseats have it?
ALPA?
Is it on the ALPA website?
Can someone PM it to me?
Thanks in advance.

All the info you need to jumpseat on any carrier is available on the ALPA website or in the jumpseat section of the FedEx pilot calendar. In the future, that's where I would recommend starting your search for jumpseat information.
There's no login ID/password for some other airline available from our jumpseat folks. They'll have no idea what you're talking about if you ask them, I'm sure.
I've never seen or used that website you mentioned.
I'll give you the AA specifics since you seem to be in need of them.
I've jumped on AA quite a bit in the last year, mostly from BOS. The procedure is to call 888-we-fly-aa (option 3) and identify yourself as a FedEx pilot and request to "meal list" (probably an old term from when they used to serve food). If you say "list" I'm sure you'll get your point across too.
Give them your specifics, flight/city pair you want, date, etc. and they'll create a computer record that can be pulled up when you get to the airport. This number used to be a 24 hour line but it's been cut back. I think the hours are close to normal business hours but I'm not sure exactly what they are.
The last couple of times I went out of BOS, they wanted me to check in with an agent outside of security so I had a card before I showed up at the gate. This wasn't a TSA thing, it was AA gate agents wanted me to already be checked in prior to talking to them. I don't know if this is unique to BOS or an expected thing at AA locations. I doesn't take much if you have the time.
The agents outside security at the luggage check-in counters can make you a listing if the phone thing is not available due to their restricted hours. I've also been able to get the gate agents inside the secure area to do me a solid and list me as a walk up but it seems to work best if you are able to get it done via phone first.
Once you're at the gate, if they've checked you in outside security, you should see your name on their standby listing screen. I usually check in just to let the gate agent know I'm an offline jumpseater even if I see my name on the screen. Good luck.

Last I knew American Eagle only allowed one FedEx jumpseater at a time onboard. There could be other jumpseaters from other airlines on with you but only one FedEx guy. That bit me once a while back. I'm not 100% sure but I think mainline American doesn't have that restriction.

AA pasrider info:
Go to the FedexAlpa website.
Click on the "committees a-k" pulldown. (DON'T go to the "TRAVEL" section of the main screen.)
Select: "Jumpseat"
Lots of info there including the "AA listing proceedure" you are looking for.
