Same as "how do you know when a woman orgasms?" Who cares?

A former C-5 Reserve SQ/CC at Dover, who was also an old USAirways Pilot, divorced the same woman three times, and ended up shelling out $7K/mo in Alimony to her, FOREVER.

Jest aside, based on my divorce and now into my second marriage, from an aviation career perspective, I would say one would be benefited from NOT entertaining: 1)non-frugal women, 2)women who require coaching and active feedback in order to accomplish routine tasks of daily living (i.e. co-dependent and/or non-self-driven) and 3) women with short attention span/proclivity to sexually stray/entertain the attention of other men, upon the mildest time span of solitude.
The bad news is that most women fall into one or more of these three categories. My exwife exhibited all three, but she was also fat so the last one was a result of my lack of interest in her body. In my post-divorce life I experienced that the first quality I highlighted above was by far the most difficult to find in a woman. Frugality is viewed in very pejorative light among women, especially the more sexually attractive they are. They generally display a sense of "why should I deprive myself of a lifestyle I cannot afford by my own work, when I can leverage myself into that higher lifestyle by trading my looks for it?" Once I found a woman who was supportive and copacetic about my financial attitudes/behavior, and otherwise considered our sexual habits and tastes compatible, I went for it like the last Xbox on the shelf on Black Friday, and never looked back. Non-frugal women are RARE. I'm proud of my find.
Careers with income volatility (professional pilot is without exception nose-deep in that category) require a copacetic spouse when it comes to lifestyle expectations and expenditure frugality. Otherwise it's a matter of time before the relationship falls apart. I'd say stay away from arm candy types unless you're willing to pay for it. Good luck finding frugal arm-candy. And I don't mean nicety "yeah baby you'll always be arm candy to me", I mean eyes in the back of your head you can't go to chili's and leave her alone for a second cuz she's got every dog and douchebag sniffing her rear, arm candy. By and large, those types expect remuneration in standards of living; they've been socialized since little girls to expect that. Not exactly what I'd want to be doing with a furlough-prone job with no pension.
Loneliness sucks indeed, but living under the economic yoke of the wrong woman is bad for your health and your ability to put food on the table tomorrow. Good luck!
