They were considerably heavier too weren't they?

I had 26k in late arrival in 2011 which put me close to 200k as a 5 year FO.
Just think how many of our people who have been laid off if people had requested the time off option instead of taking the money for late arrival pay.

Never even shows up on this guys radar like all the pigs at the open time trough. I know, I know IPA says its ok so it must be right? So where is the off again open time ban? Cause from what I've seen the policy has been on again, and again, and again, and again.......... Nothing to see here move along cause lifting the open time ban is costing the company money. Never mind lifting it is costing 42 guys their incomes as well. What a joke. I'm pretty sure peak would have looked a lot different had a ban been in place.

I heard from a company engineer type that we came real close to buying 36 777-200's from Singapore Airlines and converting them. The contract was drafted and just needed to be signed.

The 787 problems got SQ scared and they wanted to delay the sales; then Boeing pitched the 767F to us and we got those instead.

Yeah the engineering work's been done on the BCF. It'd be a neat plane - no center tanks so more of a domestic bird.

I even saw some of the mock pairings for the 777. SDF-FWA-SBN-RFD-LAN-DTW-LCK morning turns. Sweet!

Let's see, I took the regular RDGs to try to save jobs and now I'm the bad guy. You do realize you have to have enough late days to cover an entire trip. I had not had LAP since I had been here and choose the money the first time. As the year progressed, I had some more LAP. Even if I would have taken the days, I still would not have enough to drop a trip.

Sorry you're the super hero many of us wish we could be.

Really? Thats cool. Thanks for donating in the first place. Everyone has to make decision in life. I believe everyone thinks the absolute worst initially regarding stuff like this. Especially with a good job that I still believe this is here (otherwise why are we having this conversation?). Most people get mad that someone else has a perceived "better" deal.

Everyone just has to follow the Unions guidance regarding this matter. They are the one's dealing with the company. UPS furloughed. UPS has decided to keep pilots on furlough. They alone must decide when to bring people back.

If anyone has questions about OT or any other pay issue, please call the union and express your concerns. They were more than helpful when I was upset with this policy change. I had a different tune after that phone call. Don't go around ignorant and assume.
