I don't think this is so any more. Last few times, I've had to give my employee number before they'd send the bus. And I've seen them balk at taking an offline guy that happened to be there with us, but they finally did. And the phone thing in baggage claim is no longer- I believe- you need the actual phone number.

Time to start begging the hotel van

I know the phone in baggage claim is good gouge; used it on Xmas eve. Not to sure of the off-line stuff though.

Name only and the phone works. The hotel van and a $5 tip will get you there.

I think the name for the airport terminal is only to make sure they don't leave anyone that called for a ride behind.

That's correct. The driver asked my name just to make sure I was the one who called and he didn't accidentally leave without me.
