Capt. xxxxx,
You are correct and the TSA in ATL was misinformed. We’ve passed your message over to TSA HQ, de-identified, and asked them to ensure that the security officers in ATL and elsewhere are trained to not use a pilot’s status as part of the vetting process. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Your always going to or coming from work...
Just sometimes with delays in between.
Going or coming from work. Period. Committing, and don't say a word more with a smile on your face.
The FDX JUMPSEAT guy gets quick results and is the POC for quick action, worth getting his email and phone number. He has has fixed stuff while guys where held and denied at the gate.
Don't waste your time with anyone else...RO gets it done!(even though the ALPA president and the AVSEC chair -a Fdx brother - sent him packing from the national JUMPSEAT job he held for years.

FDX or UPS ATL commuters...please post to this thread or PM me if you are able to use the KCM access point at ATL. I'd like to know if the TSA has gotten the word or whether I need to follow-up on this issue. Thanks.

It's been a while, but aren't all pilot jumpseaters considered ACM's....additional crew members ? In my world, that confirms "operating" status ? No ?

Right you are!
See my earlier post, your commuting - with is "Yes-I'm on a trip".
Hope you and Hunter get some holiday time together...spent two painful India weeks with him - and despite India controllers had a good time...
