Fedex Driver Fired over Accent

I don't know ANY of the facts - I didn't attend any of the hearings to hear both sides of the stories - where the real facts under oath were laid out.
It appears from your non-answer that you don't/didn't either.

Beyond that there was, and is, little leverage. The vote on FDA #1 proved 68% thought it was ok to hose anyone daft enough to bid an FDA with crazy rules.

Wow
Methinks you should lay off the caffeine.
You get up on the wrong side of the bed?
Non answer? Don't confuse me with the MEC Chair...

If people hadn't rushed to bid CA in HKG or CGN we would have had leverage. As you can see they're getting all the FOs they can hire.

Also the fact that FDX blew off his request to meet speaks volumes and this case schould be a slam dunk.

"Aliyev says his trouble started months into the job when an Iowa weigh station gave his company a warning -- but not a citation -- about his Russian accent. One of the requirements of holding a commercial driver's license is the ability to communicate."
How realistic is this scenario?
GNB trucking to FDX: How important is that part in the contract about our drivers meeting the legal requirements for a CDL?
FDX to GNB: Gee it is pretty important, that is why we put it in the contract.
GNB to Ivan (through google translator): Sorry FDX says we got to can you.
Lawyer to Ivan: Yeah I know but FDX has deeper pockets than GNB.
But I do agree with a previous poster; the Teamsters are much better at using their media buddies then ALPA.

You mean they don't have to wear double-knit polyester pants and those ridiculous Captain Stubing shirts with fake military style epaulets that look like we're opening doors at the Ritz-Carlton?

I,ve run into people who were born in America that have difficulty communicating.
