Off of politics for a moment and back to the original thread...somewhat. Has anybody noticed a certain T7 non-member capt wearing an ALPA 9-11 pin on the lapel of his blouse? What is proper etiquette for that?

I would ask how they feel about abortion and the upcoming election too...

Seriously, just do your job and go home...Don't start nonsense BS with anybody. Nobody cares.
Nicely said!

Treat the other pilot just as professionally as you would like to be treated when/if flying in their flight deck!

Just because you are union, you are NOT any better or worst than those who are non-union: as a pilot or as a human!

I disagree with this completely.
They are stealing money out of my pocket. So by your logic, I should have dinner with the person who just robbed my house????

No thanks....
I will do the professional thing at work.....But I will not treat them with any dignity or courtesy as they deserve neither....

Jungle?

So, Max Glide,

How long have you've been a NON-MEMBER?

I'm all for treating them as a professional on our (we have a minimum of two crew members) flight deck but I won't be going out for a drink with them I can assure you of that.

The point you are missing is that by virtue of being a FedEx pilot you reap benefits and protection provided by ALPA. A person may be a non-member but due to being employed here they are not, non-union.

As for the part about not being any better than them as a human, I disagree, I always make certain that I tote my share of responsibility, whether it be financial or other. In that respect I feel as though I am a better person than someone who is a free loader but I digress.

My initial post was just to get some ideas on how others deal with the non paying members, in hopes that those who have dealt with it a good bit could impart some of their wisdom.
