"I continue to say that ATSG needs to find work for 11 airframes."

I am going to say more like 6-7.....we will not know until the last minute what new flying there is...if there is good news and the company cannot extort something out of of it what good does it do them to tell the flight crews..... the sky is not falling.....

Not that it really matters or not but it appears one of Atlas Air's 767-200s are either AOG or in some type of check. A quick glance shows ABX covered ORD on the 13th and TOL-MSP last night. Might be more flights as well but I didn't do that much digging. So the -200 will keep being able to be hot-standby with Atlas for the foreseeable future.

Also, there is still some need for the ATI side of things in regards to a few 767-200s. RIO Brazil only has one more -200 left and ATI needs at least two more (AFAIK). Just sayin'

Atlas was supposed to start YHM on Sun. ABX recovered that too. There has been 1 or 2 a week since the Pratts got online. As far as the 200's the RIO airframes 791 and 796 were on ABX certificate from day one so I do not see those going to ATI due to scope....but a trade could always happen that is how ATI received ABX airframes in the past...Just sayin......

Franken-freighter (the mercury spill airplane) came online recently. Might be a while before it gets dialed in.

Really they are just junk....but good steady recover business for ABX outside of the original contract .... so my guess is at a premium

AFAIK 796 is already earmarked for ATI and is supposed to become 796CM. Plan could change again though I guess.

Re: Atlas

When is ABX getting SFO back? Or has that plan to help GTI reliability been shelved for now? I see EWR or BOS being the only two logical flights that can be swapped since JFK has been run with the -300 a lot lately and MIA-MCO/BNA-CVG only makes sense to keep it on ABX metal. Maybe BWI/GSO but I'd figure they would keep the option open regarding the SJU trip (e.g. ability to cover on short notice/least amount of empty flying for recovery).

We lost PHX-SAN, but not SFO. I thought we were losing both because of the aircraft reliability issues, but we're still running SFO. Not my side of the house, though.

Could be the reason ABX added all the 300's this year? If that is the case I would like to see ABX/1224 trade any unused 200 for a 300 to CAM.

I have no idea when 796 is leaving RIO or if it already has or what? Either 796CM or 762CX is suppose to head to Jakarta and start the DHL Asia flying. At least that was the plan a few weeks ago.
