Default FDX secondary min-max question

Can anyone familiar with VTO construction limits tell me if the carryover times in the following month are counted toward max allowable construction limits or is it just the credit in the build month.

C/O never counts against the credits hours you are owed in the next month and are not counted in the build for this month.

But that is just for the actual award.
They do count for CIA max and come out of your makeup bank.

In case you didn't understand the posts above...The credit hours actually in the VTO month, must meet the construction limits. Carry-in to the VTO month and/or carry-over into the next month do not count towards those limits.

So if I understand this right. I can request a C/O trip which would in total, exceed the secondary Max limits (but not the monthly max) but the C/O portion would be removed from my makeup bank (assuming one has a bank).

I don't think that is correct.

Just remember this. The company likes C/O and in no way will ever voluntarily agree to restricting pilots from flying as much as they can jam into this or next month. If you approach bid months with that in mind it will all make sense.

Carry in hours are excluded from the secondary lines hours, kind of. If you protect min days off or have a considerable amount of carry in, it may not be possible for the Company to build you a secondary line to the full value of a "stand-alone" secondary. If that is the case they conflict "phantom r days" underneath your existing carry-in which will go in your makeup bank. In no case will your actual BLG (carry-in plus actual secondary line CH) be less that the CBA minimum 68/85.

Any carry over bid in the actual secondary month only counts the CH in the actual bid period towards the company's published secondary line maximums.

But is is true:
After the award, if you have makeup hours to use during the View/Add window, all hours come out of you makeup bank, and all hours must be under the total available +6 for your makeup bid. Carryout is not separated out at this point.
