Some solutions solve the problems, and some "solutions" mask the symptoms.

Absolutely do not agree. The problem is human greed and public sector unions will always be the cancer, trying for that group to take advantage of the tax payer. The electorate's best way to deal with it is to elect politicians who will cut out the cancer, not just treat it as it flares up.

I believe the company is stopping contributions either sometime this month or on November 1st. There's no PBGC to deal with when it comes to those kinds of modifications, making 1113(e) and 1113(c) motions on them much easier for a company. I believe Frontier Airlines (II) did something similar in their bankruptcy, although I cannot recall all of the details.

We are definitely greedy as are the teachers. The difference is the politicians use money and power from the unions to stay in office where they return the favor. No adversial relationship. Basically one party gets a cut of all the money they funnel to the public sector unions. Very similar to the 90 billion dollars we just funneled to green energy programs.

Yea too much greed among those school teachers. Have to protect the higher earners. Look at the sad case of Ina Drew, the former Chief Investment Officer, that lost her job at J.P Morgan Chase. Her boss Jamie Dimon kept his job that paid $460,000 and poor Ina lost her job that paid only $300,000. Sad to see. Oh! That $300,000 and $460,000 were earnings per week.

Certainly does simplify it. Much more simple than figuing out why they get elected. Or what happens to a politician that crosses big labor. And by the way Big Labor means Public Sector unions, cause that is where the money is.
