ALPA did not endorse any presidential candidates in 2008. To my knowledge they are not endorsing anyone this year, either.

They did not "formally" endorse any candidate in 2008 only because of the grief they received for their endorsement in 2004!

Quite correct they did not formally endorse anyone in 2008. They did make it well known which candidate had a flunky answer their lopsided questions. None of which contained the phrase how much do you want to tax our healthcare plan? Or who do you consider a millionaire again?

Absolutely correct! I was one of those giving them grief. And a lot of it.

My point was that ALPA did not have a "glossy magazine endorsement", which is what you stated. I doubt if very many ALPA pilots voted for the Democrat anyway. This year they didn't even do a Q&A like they did in '08.

BTW-McCain was/is no friend to airline pilots. Remember "baseball stlye arbitration"? I voted for him anyway. As with most of us, there are many issues beyond just the labor front.

Clutch

Are we going to start trucking stuff through Alaska like UPS? Trucking is cheaper you know.
