I can't speak for Cologne but I do know that no new hire, or anyone else for that matter, has flown a DP in Hong Kong. We haven't had one for several years. If I remember correctly, the last one we had went to reserves and the dispute was resolved.

I thought it wasn't cheating if you used your right hand...

But, I'll take that bet. I bet that the majority of DPs are picked up by guys that have been here longer than a year. I know that at least 50% are flown by Captains...
I didn't fly DPs when I was a newhire, or since. No matter what the paycheck was. I don't put a price tag on doing the right thing.

Listen, I agree that training pay absolutely sucks. I think the company should foot the bill for a hotel room while these new hires are going through indoc and initial. It needs to get changed, and hopefully it will...

You're the one that started the whole DP conversation...
And what's wrong with answering a draft call, as long as we aren't in 4a2b or contract crunch time?
Nope I dont think you know what disproportionate means. Since the majority of guys (probably 98%) have been here more than 1 year it would be very surprising indeed if the majority of DPS were flown by new hires. Since we have at least 50% captains I would expect more than half the dps to be flown by captains. Ask a 9th grader this question. Is it possible to have a disproportionate number of new hires and a proportionate number of captains fly DPS?

Did you fly extra when you were a new hire? I didnt fly DPs either but I sure flew extra. All I could.

The DP line was a throw away, I meant extra flying in general. I am certainly sorry if I cast insults on new hires in HKG or CGN my point was we send people over there for abour 60 bucks an hour pay. Just because everyone else does it does not mean we should do it. I thought one of the points of ALPA was to raise the bar. FDX MEC seems very content to raise the ceiling and keep the bar a couple of inches off the floor.

Huge difference between flying extra and flying DPs.

No $hit Sherlock. I believe I have said that a couple of time here already. However, If one were to list wht people fly DPs, money might be up there as a motivator.

My guess is they do proportionally the same as black, brown, yellow, red, and tan people. But why most of them do it is for the money.

New hires flying DP's are nothing more than a Red Herring. I see the same names on those pairings far too frequently, and for them, the excuse of being a "new hire" sailed quite a few years ago. There are other words in quotes that would better descibe them.

Couldnt tell you who flys DP, but I will bet that it is disproportionately new guys.
Lots of newhires in ANC. LOTS of DPs in ANC. (the lion's share of them this year) I'm not aware of any newhires picking up a single one.

Maybe you need to do a little more research before you start throwing stones.
