UPS October recall?

Zero.
It's a shame UPS decided to furlough in the first place. They'll recall when they feel like it, and not a minute sooner. Let this be a lesson and don't forget it just in case you ever get a choice on where to work.

Don't expect any in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar ....
Remember the plan was for the furloughs to be out until 2015. So some number is going to be furloughed until Jan 2015, that much you can expect ...

Plus ups have to pay over 18,000,000.00 $ to a wrongfully fired sup per Ipnn andthat will definitely cut into Davis's boner for this yr. Seems like they're saving 8 mil by keeping 46 families out but ending up paying 2wice as much in punitives. I love when good things happen to these bunch

The plan to have the furlough last until 2015 is based on the original premise of 300 furloughs.
My guess is recalls will resume in early 2013, and will only be based on attrition (retirements, etc.)
Of course, further reduction in flying would delay that.
On a positive note, the potential for more pilots does exist (e.g. rest rules, TNT, aircraft orders)
I was told by a good source that the original plan was to have everyone back by peak 2012, but the dramatic Asia slowdown changed that.

They said 2015, and it saves them some face.
Negotiations.
Because they can ...
BUT I hope 2013 brings a change of climate that requires a complete recall and future hiring ...
